Beyond Autism Early Years’ service

Beyond Autism Early Years is an educational service for children, aged 15 months to 5 years, with autism and related communication difficulties to attend with their parents or carers.

Accessing support, tailored to individual needs, at as early an age as possible, is so important for children with communication difficulties. Children’s learning starts within the family, when they begin to develop their earliest bonds, essential social skills and emotional wellbeing.

Parents are supported by our experienced multidisciplinary team during this crucial time, to empower them to build skills, knowledge, and confidence to:

  • support their children in developing communication and language - through play, and learning essential skills that they can build upon throughout their journey in education
  • and to better understand and cope with their child’s behaviours that challenge.

Children attend with their parents or carers so that the team can work with them on the child’s communication and engagement and adults can learn skills and techniques to apply at home. We tailor teaching to the individual needs of the children and families that attend our service based on their goals and aspirations.

To attend Early Years’ you don’t need a referral, EHCP or formal diagnosis of autism. If you are interested in hearing more, please visit our website or get in touch on 020 3031 9703 or earlyyears@beyondautism.org.uk.

Early Years’ is a service run by the charity Beyond Autism. Beyond Autism is a charity dedicated to empowering people with autism to lead lives full of choice and control through positive educational experiences, training for the people who work with them and support for their families and carers. Find out more at www.beyondautism.org.uk
