How will the council pay the grant?

When can I expect payment?

Requests are being processed in the order in which they have been received.  Currently, we are receiving high volumes of requests, with additional resources being allocated to help process requests.
Please allow 10 working days from the date on which a complete and accurate request form is submitted before payment. These 10 working days are to allow for the application to be validated and for payment to be arranged.  Validation is in accordance with government guidance and is required to prevent fraud.

Will I receive any notification that the grant has been paid?

You will be notified by email that your request for a grant has been approved.  Please check your junk email if you are expecting an update.  The payment will be made direct into the designated bank account (as supplied in the application form) without any other additional form of notification, so check your bank balance regularly if you are expecting a grant. Payments are made by BACS and within 3-5 working days of having been approved.

Which bank account should I use to receive payment of the grant?

You must provide details of a business bank account into which the grant will be paid.  This is because the grant is taxable income.  The bank account must match the name of the business or liable party.

My request was rejected.  What should I do now?

If your request is rejected because of errors or omissions on your grant request form, you will receive a notification email which will identify the issues.  You may  be asked to submit a new grant request form which corrects the problems with your previous form.
