Elmstead Woods parking review

Elmstead Lane / Sundridge Avenue parking and traffic amendment

The council are proposing to install six pay by phone bays in Elmstead Lane and Sundridge Avenue to help regulate parking to the station. The intention of the scheme is to help improve parking by designating bays, marking where cars are able to park and provide pay by phone parking which is consistent with other railway stations across the borough.

Elmstead Woods parking review- minor traffic and parking amendments

As part of the Elmstead Woods parking review scheme, the increase in parking demand over the years means that the council have now located areas where flank wall parking is available and could help alleviate parking pressures in the area; this is in line with the council’s flank wall policy. These proposals will help accommodate any displacement of parking that may become evident in the areas that we’re proposing double yellow lines. We have proposed to install double yellow lines on the junctions that have been subjected to inconsiderate parking; this also includes areas which are heavily parked and therefore often causes obstruction to traffic flow and driver’s sight lines.
