The scheme recruits, trains and assesses potential providers who can provide support and assistance within their own home.
Who is the scheme for?
The scheme is for young people who are “looked after” by Bromley who sometimes may have complex and differing needs, including young people with mild learning difficulties and unaccompanied minors.
How does the scheme work?
All potential providers will be assessed, have a medical and Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and will provide three references. Once the assessment is complete they will then be booked on fostering panel for agreement as a provider for Bromley.
Supervision is provided, as well as support groups and training.
The young person will receive financial support from the Leaving Care Team until they turn 18 where they will then claim benefits if appropriate.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for providers who have experience of dealing with young people. Clear boundaries are needed with support and guidance and a sense of humour thrown in.
The young person will need their own room.

Providers are currently paid £250.00 per week.
