Free Early Education (FEE) information sessions

In order to be able to offer 2-year-old funding or 3 and 4-year-old universal or extended entitlement all registered childcare providers (day nurseries, pre-schools, childminders, out of school clubs and holiday schemes) must:-

  1. attend an FE Information Session
  2. provide a Funding Admission Policy
  3. sign an FE Grant Agreement
  4. complete a BACS form

Childcare providers who are in the process of becoming Ofsted registered are also welcome to attend but need to be aware that they will not be able to sign the FE Agreement or claim the funding until their registration is complete and the authority have been notified officially by Ofsted.

Newly registered childcare providers will not be able to backdate their claim to include a period which is prior to the date of their registration or the date when they signed the FE Grant Agreement and completed the BACS form.  Depending on the timing of the registration; newly registered childcare providers may not receive any funding until the end of the term in which they make their first claim.

Day nurseries or pre-schools already registered to receive the funding

We do occasionally run specific information sessions for existing childcare providers who need support and guidance around the funding.  These are arranged on an as and when basis according to demand.  If you feel that you need some support or a new member of staff needs the support, please email eyfundingmanager@bromley.gov.uk requesting the date of the next session.
