Covid-19 update on work experience placements at Bromley Council
We have had to take the difficult decision to cancel this year’s programme of work experience for young people due to the impact of Covid-19. We believe this is the best course of action for this summer with many schools already withdrawing their students from confirmed placements. Plans to re-establish our programme will be put in place as soon as we can safely do so, with the hope that we can invite requests in September for placements within the council during the next academic year.
Bromley EBP will be contacting all the young people directly as well as the employees from within council who were generous enough to offer to host a student. We appreciate that all those involved will be disappointed but we are sure everyone will understand the need to ensure the safety of students and our staff during this unprecedented pandemic.
There is a range of support and help available to employers wishing to develop their workforce.
Provides opportunities for local and national employers to address their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by engaging and supporting young people with help and advice at employability events arranged by BEBP. We also support employers with advice and guidance on hosting a young person on work experience.
Help with recruitment and ensure that your employees are selected from a ready to work cohort.
