We currently have a significant backlog of planning applications awaiting validation, which we are working to address.
Once your application has been validated, neighbour notification will need to be carried out along with other statutory consultations, and the planning officer will need adequate time to assess the application before it can be decided.
This will mean that in most cases, your application will take longer than the normal eight week period to be decided. We do apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
To allow your planning officer to focus on the assessment and processing of applications, we would ask that you check the website at https://searchapplications.bromley.gov.uk/online-applications/ for progress updates before attempting to contact them directly for an update. You can find information on key dates for your application on the important dates tab for your application record online.
Please rest assured that the planning officer will make contact with you or your agent if any further information is needed to allow us to determine your application.
If you are about to submit an application to us, please make sure that you carefully review our validation requirements and checklists beforehand to make sure that your application meets our requirements as this will help avoid any further delays.
Only use a registered waste carrier to remove construction or landscaping waste from your property or risk being prosecuted and fined up to £5,000. Always obtain a transfer note as proof of the transfer to an authorised person. Please visit www.bromley.gov.uk/wastecarriers for further information.
