Our clinical waste collection allows you to dispose of medical waste arising from treatment at home. Collection is normally arranged following a referral by a hospital, GP or health visitor.
One off collections
One off clinical waste collections can be requested directly via residents by calling our contact centre on 0300 303 8658
Regular collections
If you wish to receive a regular clinical waste collection talk to your health care provider or GP and ask them to make a referral to us so this can be arranged.

Records of the collection are confidential and all waste is taken to a special incinerator, which destroys the material, and produces energy from the heat.
Any sharp instruments such as scalpels or needles must be placed in special yellow plastic containers - sharps boxes. We provide free yellow sacks and sharps boxes to domestic customers.
Please note that items such as incontinence pads and soiled bandages and dressings can be double-bagged and deposed of in your normal domestic refuse collection. The collection of clinical waste is undertaken discreetly, in an unmarked van, and records of the collection are confidential. All waste is taken to a special incinerator, which destroys the material, and produces energy from the heat.
Clinical waste should be stored in special yellow sacks and must not be placed with the normal rubbish. Any sharp instruments such as scalpels or needles must be placed in special yellow plastic containers - sharps boxes. We provide free yellow sacks and sharps boxes to domestic customers.
