Residents and traders are being reminded to only employ registered waster carriers to remove their rubbish or unwanted goods.
A plumber, Mr Sergo Gvelesiani of SG Building and Heating Ltd registered to him at Pembroke Road, Bromley, has been prosecuted for fly-tipping offences as part of the council’s successful ‘We’re watching you’ anti fly-tip initiative. He was held jointly and severally liable, along with the company, and ordered to pay fines and costs totalling £1787 at Bromley Magistrates Court last week. The news follows an investigation into his involvement in two separate fly-tipping offences under section 34 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
