Temporary re-opening of green garden waste sites at weekends in May
Published Monday, 4 May 2020
The council is pleased to advise residents that a limited number of green garden waste sites will be open for the remaining weekends in May.
The temporary opening of green garden waste sites, with accompanying social distancing measures, are designed to help ease the pressure on demand during the phased reopening of the borough’s two household waste and recycling centres at Churchfields and Waldo Road.
Residents will need to be able to remove their own green garden waste from their car and bring their waste permit.
Residents will also be asked to only attend the site with a passenger from the same household if this person is required to physically help lift items from the vehicle, with Veolia’s staff only able to assist at a distance. Read more about green garden waste sites.
