Playgrounds in parks re-opening and stop the litter appeal

Published Friday, 3 July 2020

Playgrounds in parks across the borough are being re-opened on Saturday 4 July, with park visitors being reminded about the continued need for social distancing.

Playgrounds will be open again, with barriers removed and equipment checked for safety working, with visitors being asked to remember to keep their distance from other people and not use the play area if there are already too many children using the play equipment. Whilst equipment is not being cleaned, visitors are encouraged to wash their hands before and after using the play equipment with their own hand sanitiser and with soap and water when they return home.

Park visitors are also being asked to leave the park as they found it, placing litter in a nearby bin or taking it home.
