Planning permission granted for much-needed housing

Two planning applications for residential accommodation, with 100% affordable rents were approved at Bromley Council's Development Control Committee on Thursday 19 November.
Permissions were granted for the proposed new housing developments in Anerley and Chislehurst, creating 35 homes in total. Of these, 10 homes will come forward on the Anerley Town Hall overflow car park and 25 homes on the former Banbury House site in Bushell Way, Chislehurst. In both examples, the homes will be mainly constructed off-site and then assembled on-site.
This construction process will enable the housing to be built relatively quickly. The Development Control Committee was informed that construction work would begin as soon as practically possible, with building starting in early 2021 and completed later in the year. Read more about the developments.
