Bromley’s children are supported every day with even more on offer this summer

Children and young people, who are eligible, will be able to take part in fun holiday club activities this summer as part of a programme of events organised by Bromley Council and its partners.
Events range from physical and sporting challenges to arts, crafts and quizzes, and parents are being contacted through schools and other targeted approaches to let them know how to reserve their places through the council's website. A healthy lunch will be on offer every day and young people will also have a chance to get involved in learning skills such as preparing simple meals for themselves.
While eligible young people will be able to attend free of charge, supported by the government’s holiday activities and food programme (HAF), some activities will have sufficient places for further children to take part at a small cost. Details are also on the council’s website.
Councillor Kate Lymer, Executive Member for Children, Families and Education said: “We continue to support families who face difficulties all year round but welcome the opportunity to offer additional support during the holidays.
“Our holiday and food programme will help children and young people who are less likely, or able, to take part in out-of-school activities, to develop new skills, build confidence and meet new friends while enjoying creative and physical activities, learning about food and cooking, and enjoy free nutritious meals.”
