The deadline to register to vote in time for the upcoming local elections is fast approaching and residents yet to register are encouraged to sign up online now.

Registration can be completed in five minutes and must be done by 23:59 on Thursday 14 April. Residents who have recently moved or have not registered before can quickly register via  www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.

The 5 May local elections will see 58 councillors elected in Bromley across 22 wards and residents must be registered to be able to vote. Those registering are advised to have their National Insurance Number and date of birth to hand.

A postal vote is available for residents who are not able to get to the polls, which must be applied for before 5pm on Tuesday 19 April. The form to apply for this can be found at www.bromley.gov.uk/PostalVote.

Following a recent Boundary Review, many of the ward boundaries and polling stations have changed since the last election. A Polling Station checker and further information about the election is available at https://www.bromley.gov.uk/ByElection.

Polling stations are open from 7am to 10 pm on 5 May and no voter ID is required on the day. Residents can also apply to vote by proxy up until Tuesday 26 April at 5pm.
