News that the grass verges along red routes are now being cut is being welcomed.
The news follows concerns from the council and complaints from residents to Transport for London about reports of grass being waist height in some places. The council is continuing to monitor grass cutting progress on both the A21 and parts of the A232, which are known as red routes, which Transport for London (TfL) are responsible for maintaining.
