Registered businesses receive validation through the scheme as well as the support and resources to meet the needs of the borough’s residents. In turn, customers can be reassured about the quality of service they receive when choosing a business, and members can be confident that they are part of a scheme that actively prevents rogue traders from operating in the area.

Councillor Angela Page, Executive Councillor for Public Protection and Enforcement said: “Traders are beginning to see the benefits of the scheme, so we have therefore decided to extend the offer to allow more traders the opportunity to join our team.  By continuing to offer our discounted membership, we hope to reach more of the borough’s superstar traders and build a community of trusted and quality service providers. With residents wanting to hire a verified trader for work in the home during this spring season, the time is ripe to apply for Trading Standards Checked.”

This introductory offer of £99 represents a £300 discount from the full price and comes with all the benefits of a membership. The limited offer is designed to attract additional traders and coincides with the new Trading Standards Checked promotional video. Offer ends 31 July 2023.

A membership offers a dedicated business profile with a company logo, accreditations, and photo gallery. Traders will also have access to business opportunities over the entire Kent region thanks to Bromley’s ongoing partnership with Kent County Council.
