Councillor Diane Smith thanks Covid-19 volunteers

Published Friday, 22 May 2020

The following is an extract from her open letter in a special volunteers’ newsletter:

Dear volunteer,

I wanted to start by extending a huge thank you to each and every one of you. As one of our army of volunteers working across the borough, you have made a significant contribution to improving the quality of life for so many of our residents.

Back in March we put out a call for volunteers to step up.  And you did. You are one of more than 4,000 Bromley residents who came forward in our borough's hour of need. Don't worry if we have not matched you with someone who needs help yet as we have more of you than we need right now, but the situation is changing and we can be in touch at any time.

We know you have valued the information we have been able to provide to help you in your volunteering role and we wanted to tell you more in a newsletter. This is also an opportunity to showcase some of your amazing stories.

Thank you again for the work you are doing. You are making a huge difference every day.

Best wishes,

Councillor Diane Smith

Executive Councillor for Adult Care and Health
