Norman Park PCR mobile testing now operating 7 day a week

The operating days of the mobile coronavirus testing facility at the Norman Park car park, accessible via Hayes Lane, is being extended to include 7 day a week working from 16 December 2021.

Permission to use the car park has been given by the Council in support of the Government’s testing programme, with the Norman Park testing facility previously operating only on selected days of the week. Councillor Colin Smith, Leader of Bromley Council said, “We know that cases of the coronavirus are increasing, including locally, within our Borough and London as a whole and we welcome the news about the increased testing capacity in Norman Park. It is regrettable that the 7 day a week operations are needed but we remain committed to keeping the car park area available for testing for as long as is needed. Our thanks again to park users for their support and understanding at this time.” Councillor Smith continued, “We must all do what we can to protect ourselves and each other, especially during this critical period. Please follow the isolation rules if you have symptoms or have tested positive. If you have not already received your booster vaccination, then I would strongly encourage you to do so at the earliest possible opportunity. Lives and avoiding serious long term illness may depend on it, including to those of loved ones you hold dear.” Testing for those with symptoms – PCR tests - If you have one of the Covid symptoms, get a free test straightway by contacting www.nhs.uk/coronavirus or call 119.
