Planning reception
Whilst we prepare for our move to our new building all public facing access points remain at the Bromley Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley, BR1 3UH.
We provide information, application and payment facilities for the following:
- town planning
- building regulations
- highway licences
- disposal of large items
Planning reception can be found in main reception at the Civic Centre.
Our Customer Service Centre is open by appointment only, please call in advance to book and appointment on 020 8464 3333.
You are strongly advised to e-mail or telephone us prior to visiting to establish whether we will be able to assist with your query or whether the documents you wish to view will be available.
Please note that planning officers are not normally available to meet or discuss matters at reception.
Viewing planning applications
The Council's Town Planning Application Register is no longer be held in paper form. Full copies of planning applications are only be available on this website and not at our offices. You can view planning applications online and PCs are available in all our libraries. If you have a disability or are housebound, need an interpreter, and / or find it difficult to view or understand the plans, please let us know and we will do our best to help. If you do need to arrange to view a paper copy of an application, please contact us. This will normally require 24 hours notice as the paper copies held are working files
Research and historic files
Please note that any query requiring research or retrieval of files may need to be requested in writing and there may be a charge. There is extensive information about applying for planning permission on this website and on the planning portal site which may answer your query without needing to visit our reception.

Payment
There are no cash handling facilities at main reception so if you wish to make any payment in cash you will need to make your initial enquiry at main reception, pay at the adjacent cash machine and return to the main reception to be issued with a receipt.
Customers paying by cheque or card will be handled solely by the reception staff.
