Description
Bromley Experts by Experience (XbyX Bromley) is a user-led organisation for Deaf and Disabled People and Carers in Bromley. We aim to speak up for the rights of Deaf and Disabled People and Carers and to increase awareness about Disability equality and the Social model of Disability. This includes people who need support with or have experienced physical, sensory, mental health, long-term health (including people living with HIV or AIDs) learning or development barriers, neuro-divergent people plus people who use or have used drug or alcohol services.

We run open meetings for people to come together from different support areas and impairment groups to share their experiences and have a stronger, collective voice. We offer supported volunteer opportunities for Disabled and non-disabled people. Recently, we have been funded by the #IWill foundation to set up a Disabled Youth Forum in Bromley for young disabled people age 11 - 19 and by Clarion Futures to work with local disabled and non-disabled young people age 11 - 25 to deliver another vibrant annual event celebrating disability. Please contact us for more information about the exciting opportunities for local young people including free training and fun activities.
