We were delighted as part of HM the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations to be able to unveil £1 million to contribute towards community led projects that improve our green spaces.
If you have a community led project in mind for a park or open space, we would love to hear about it.
Please note that the nature of each individual successful proposal will determine whether the council awards the funding to the applicant directly or spends it on its behalf.

How to apply
Before applying please read the guidance notes document (PDF - 362.64 KB) which shall tell you everything that you need to do in order to make a successful application. The link also contains documents that may assist you in making your application.
The deadline for applications is generally as follows:
- For those requesting more than £3000 from the fund, there are twice yearly deadline rounds of 1 April and 1 October each year.
- Those requesting £3000 or less can submit an application at any time.
Once you are sure that you can make an application, please complete our application form.
You will need to complete an application in full as it is not possible to save the application part way through. A checklist document (PDF - 806 KB) is available to assist applicants with the form.
