The following notice has been issued by the manufacturer:

Kawasaki Jet Ski fuel tank vent hose recall

Kawasaki is writing to owners of a number of Jet Ski personal watercraft to notify them of the possibility of a fault with the fuel tank vent hose.

All warranty registered owners of affected machines are being contacted and are being advised to visit their local authorised dealer. Affecting only a very small number of Jet Skis, a fault has been identified in the assembly of some units that results in the fuel tank vent hose becoming kinked preventing air from entering the fuel tank.

The repair can be carried out by authorised dealers and takes around 30 minutes to complete. It comprises a corrugated tube which is installed over the vent hose to prevent the possibility of kinking.

"Owners who think their Jet Ski may be affected but have not yet received a notification letter should contact their local dealer or call Kawasaki Customer Service Department on 01628 856750", said KMUK's Marketing Manager, Martin Lambert.
