2007.10.24 Recall: Lamb Products sold at ASDA

The following notice has been issued by the retailer:

ASDA Recall

ASDA is recalling following lamb products as it may contain meat from sheep that were not intended to be eaten. The company has taken all of the potentially affected meat off its shelves.

The likelihood of people eating meat from the affected part of the animal is very low. However, as a precautionary measure, Asda has removed batches of lamb from sale that could be affected.

Any concerned customers who have bought lamb from the affected batches are being asked not to consume it and return to their nearest Asda store for a refund.
