Aunt Bessie's is voluntarily recalling its frozen Scrumptious Bramley Apple Crumble Family size 500g from all Farmfoods stores as there is a minimal, though highly unlikely, risk that small pieces of plastic may be laying on the product surface in one affected batch.
We must stress that the possibility of a piece of plastic being found is highly unlikely, but we took the decision to be proactive and recall the product as customer safety is of greatest importance to us.
We have identified the source of the problem and can assure customers that it was an isolated incident and only involved one batch in Farmfoods stores sold after the 21st October 2011. Any product bought before this date is not affected.
If you have bought this product from a Farmfoods store after the 20th October please could you dispose the product and call the Aunt Bessie's customer helpline on 01482 223223 for a refund or for any further assistance.
