Houghton Hams is recalling two of its Northamptonshire Cured Ham products as some packs have been incorrectly labelled with a use-by date of 19 August 2018, instead of 19 August 2017. The affected products are only sold at Waitrose.

No other Houghton Hams products are known to be affected.
Risk
Consuming the products after the intended use-by date of 19 August 2017 could pose a risk of food poisoning.
Our advice to consumers
If you have bought the products do not eat them. Instead, customers can return the products to Waitrose store for a full refund.
Action taken by the company
Houghton Hams is recalling the above products. The products are only sold in Waitrose stores. Point of sale notices will be displayed in all Waitrose stores that are selling the products. These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the products.
