Risk description
The product presents a medium risk of ingestion as no warnings were present that these products should not be worn on other body parts, such as inside the nose or mouth. The Jewellery may be positioned so that both magnets are worn inside the mouth, for example, either side of the tongue. If two or more magnets are swallowed, there is a risk that the magnets become drawn to each other in the digestive system, which could cause severe injury or death if rapid medical attention is not sought. Four individual studs were tested equating to eight magnets. Two back magnets and one front magnet were above the 50 kG2mm2parameter.

The product has been voluntarily withdrawn from the market.
