Product description
Stand-up inflatable paddle boards
Hazard
The product has been identified as presenting a risk of exposure to water / drowning as its substandard glue should have a minimal life cycle of five years when used normally and maintained properly; however, research has shown that this is not the case for the defaulted batch. The substandard glue creates leakage through the seams of the board and if the seam separates when the product is in use, the user may fall into the water unexpectedly.
The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.
Corrective action
The product has been recalled from end users.
All consumers and Jobe dealers were contacted on 5 August. They are offered a new product which lives up to the standards and is safe to use. Further information about the recall can be found online.
