Hazard
The product presents a serious risk of injuries as it has been designed and built for use for only one hand. The user may be unable to stabilise the chainsaw when it is in use, causing it to slip and injure the user or other consumers. Chainsaws must be fitted with at least two handles to provide safe control. Additionally, the upper protective guard does not cover the entire length of the chain. The product also requires improvements to marking, labelling and documentation.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border.
