Southeastern Trains announcement hailed as being “great news” for the borough

The news that Southeastern are planning to adopt and increase peak train frequency on the Beckenham Junction to Blackfriars service is being welcomed as great news for the borough.

The proposal is contained within the draft Southeastern timetable for May 2018, with the current operator, GTR, no longer operating these services as part of the culmination of the Thameslink upgrade programme in 2018. The news will be of particular interest to the borough’s commuters living in Beckenham, Kent House and Penge East.
