Witness appeal for Chislehurst fly-tipping

Published Wednesday, 21 November 2018

Witnesses are being asked to contact the council after broken roof tiles were dumped from a vehicle last week in Belmont Lane, Chislehurst.

The appeal for information follows a lorry load of broken roof tiles being dumped along the road in Belmont Lane near Edgebury, and in the adjacent footpath next to Belmont Open Space. The lorry, believed to be a ‘tipper’ type truck, appears to have reversed along the footpath before driving off with the tail gate down spreading the 4 tonnes of waste along the path and road. Anyone with information, particularly a photo or description of the vehicle and registration plate, is asked to report it confidentially at www.bromley.gov.uk/envirocrime.
