Interested residents are invited to attend upcoming engagement events for a proposed much-needed housing development on Station Road at Bromley North.

Proposals for 75 new, high-quality apartments are being brought forward on Bromley North car park site to build on the council’s recent success in delivering more Bromley homes for Bromley people across the borough. The proposed new development would help supply more affordable housing to help meet local demand.

Two drop-in engagement events will be held next week at Community House on South Street, where members of the project team will be available to discuss the proposals, with feedback being welcomed at this stage prior to a full planning application being submitted. The events will be held on Monday 9 January and Wednesday 11 January between 12:30 and 3:30pm.

Councillor Yvonne Bear, Executive Councillor for Renewal, Recreation and Housing said: “It is so important with any proposed new housing that local residents’ views are considered at every stage, and this is what we are doing here ahead of a full Planning Application being submitted, so that we can ensure proposals meet local priorities. I encourage any interested residents to attend and discuss the planned development as we continue with our commitment to provide more Bromley homes for Bromley people, which follows three new affordable housing sites being completed last year across the borough.”

The proposed development is for 50 percent affordable housing, with electric vehicle charging and plentiful bike parking being included on the site which has many convenient public transport links.

Residents unable to attend the engagement events can get in contact with the project team to ask any questions or provide feedback on the proposals at Housing.Development@bromley.gov.uk.
