The Library of Things
Can you believe a drill is only used for 3 minutes a year? Instead of cluttering cupboards with stuff you don’t use often, share useful household items with neighbours or rent them from the Library of Things. It will save you money and reduce waste too.
Borrow a thermal camera for free this winter - spot heat loss and save on energy bills with Library of Things. The initiative runs from 1 November to 2 January, and aims to make it easier for people to identify where heat is escaping from their homes, and take affordable DIY steps to fix it. Thermal cameras are normally £15 a day to rent, saving residents over £300 compared to buying one new. This winter, they’ll be completely free to borrow thanks to support from Greener and Cleaner Bromley, among other partners. Find out more about the offer on the Library of Things website.
The Library of Things is based in The Glades and you can borrow useful household items for DIY, cleaning, gardening, events, entertainment and more for a few pounds per day.
