17.08.25 Recall: Frohwein's - various meat products

The following notice has been issued by the Food Standards Agency:

Frohwein's is recalling its Beef Sausages, Beef Pickled Brisket Flat, and Beef Pickled Brisket Rolled, because they contain mustard and soya or celery, which are not mentioned on the label. This means the products are a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to mustard, soya and/or celery.

Pack size: varying weights
Use-by dates: all dates from 4 August - 26 August 2017 (products can be frozen)
Allergens: mustard, soya

Product: Frohwein's Beef Pickled Brisket Flat
Pack size: varying weights
Use-by dates: all dates from 10 August - 31 August 2017 (products can be frozen)
Allergens: mustard, celery

Product: Frohwein's Beef Pickled Brisket Rolled
Pack size: varying weights
Use-by dates: all dates from 10 August - 31 August 2017 (products can be frozen)
Allergens: mustard, celery

Risk
Allergens: mustard, soya, or celery

These products contain mustard, and either soya or celery, making them a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to mustard, soya and/or celery.           

Our advice to consumers
If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to mustard, soya and/or celery do not eat it. Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.

Action taken by the company
Frohwein's is recalling the above products from customers and has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall. The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers.
