Lidl is recalling two varieties of its Sol & Mar Squid in Sunflower Oil sold because they contain salt crystals known as struvite which could present a safety risk.

No other Lidl products are known to be affected.
Risk
Products may contain struvite which are naturally occurring salt crystals. Salt crystals may cause injury and also may be mistaken as glass.
Our advice to customers
If you have bought any of the above products do not eat them. Instead, return them to the store from where they were bought for a full refund.
Action taken by the company
Lidl is recalling the above product. Point of sale notices will be displayed in all Lidl stores that are selling these products. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.
