Bromley’s Mayor, Councillor Mellor said: ‘’As we continue to navigate through this challenging time, I believe it is essential we find new ways of communicating. Due to current restrictions we are only able to have limited guests attend the flag raising service, but I still want residents to have the opportunity to join us in our recognition of the men and women who make up the Armed Forces Community.’’

‘’Armed Forces Day is our chance to recognise and honour the men and women who make up the Armed Forces Community. Although we should always be aware of the sacrifice this community makes, this dedicated day give us the opportunity to thank our UK Armed Forces both past and present.’’

The video of the flag-raising at the Civic Centre can be watched from Friday, 25 June on the Mayor’s page on the council website, showing appreciation of our uniformed forces. Watch the video at www.bromley.gov.uk/mayor.
