The Waterlink Way cycle route

This cycle route is maintained by Sustrans and follows mainly traffic-free paths and quiet residential streets. The Bromley section starts in the north of the borough by Lower Sydenham Station before passing through Pool River Park . Cyclists are asked to dismount when passing underneath Kent House Station, before cycling along Churchfields Road and Beck Lane and reaching South Norwood Country Park where the route passes out of the borough.

The Bromley section of The Waterlink Way is approximately 2.5 miles long and should take less than half an hour to cycle at a steady pace. It is signposted as National cycle Network Route 21 (indicated by signs with a red number). The full National Cycle Network Route 21 is 94 miles in length and finishes on the South Coast at Eastbourne . More details can be found on the Sustrans website.
