The London Borough of Bromley has many cycling clubs and organisations that offer regular rides that cater for every kind of cyclist, from beginners to those training for races and sportives. Joining a cycling club is a great way to build your confidence, explore new routes, make new friends and improve your fitness and cycling skills.

  • Bigfoot Cycle Club (bigfootcc.co.uk/) - A very popular and welcoming club based in Hayes, they offer six different levels of regular Saturday rides from social and beginners through to faster pace for those looking to push themselves.
  • Bigfoot Youth (www.bigfootyouth.cc) - A dedicated youth cycling club that offers regular sessions at various locations across the borough. The club has multiple sections including Minis for 6- and 7-year-olds, Juniors for 7- to 11-year-olds, and Youth section for secondary-aged school children. As well as skills sessions and family rides, the club is very active in racing at local and regional level, across a range of cycling disciplines.
  • Bromley Cyclists (Bromley Cyclists | Bromley | Facebook) - Bromley Cyclists are a local group of the London Cycling Campaign (https://lcc.org.uk/), a charity working for safer, cheaper and happier cycling. LCC organise cycling events, offer help and advice, and campaign on behalf of cyclists in Bromley.
  • EnduranceXNature (www.endurancexnature.com/) - ExN is a cycling club with an on-site workshop in Green Street Green. ExN also has an in-house coffee shop and can offer sports therapy, nutrition as well as spaces for venue hire.
  • Foxgrove Cycling Club (www.facebook.com/FoxgroveCC/) - Beckenham’s newest cycling club providing a social environment to encourage cycling in the community.
  • GS Avanti (www.gsavanti.co.uk/) - this club boasts over 150 members from in and around the borough with the main focus being their club rides that explore some of most best cycling routes in the area. With four groups of varying speeds and distances to choose from, it is easy to find a ride that suits your needs.
  • London Clarion Cycle Club (londonclarion.org.uk) - London Clarion is one of the capital’s oldest cycling communities, riding since 1895. Based primarily in South London, the club runs friendly, no-drop social rides for all abilities at a relaxed ~12 mph pace, so nobody gets left behind. With 180+ members, full membership is £20 for 2026 and includes third-party liability insurance. Beyond the riding, Clarion carries a remarkable heritage - the Pankhursts rode with the club and member Charlie Denny won Olympic silver in 1908 - and its ‘Fellowship is Life’ ethos still shapes its inclusive spirit today. New members welcome.
  • Meridian Cycle Club (meridiancyclingclub.co.uk/) - A friendly cycle club based in Orpington with over 140 members who offer regular Wednesday rides with six different levels.
  • Old Portlians Cycling Club (www.oldportlianscc.co.uk) - OPCC, also known as the Old Ports, is a long established, friendly cycling club serving the South London/North Kent area, which offers a wide variety of rides and activities for the aspiring, confident or experienced rider. Based in West Wickham, near Bromley, they welcome all cyclists, irrespective of the sort of bike you have or the sort of riding you want to do.
  • Penge Cycle Club (pengecycleclub.org.uk/) - A community based, volunteer run club who offer regular adults rides, training, and events for all ages and abilities. They also have a youth section, Penge Go-ride, that offers coaching, racing for kids and family rides.
  • West Kent CTC (www.westkentctc.org.uk/) - Made up of local groups in Bexleyheath, Orpington and across West Kent, running weekly and longer monthly rides that are organised for the district. All ages are welcome to join these rides that are run by experienced leaders.
