- If you would like to get out more and make new friends we will be pleased to welcome you. We are a friendly group of newly and not so newly retired people, aged 60+. We enjoy an active programme of weekend events and a weekly club evening with interesting speakers or social activities. The Group is proud of its excellent weekend programme covering Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays which offers theatre, cinema, concerts, walks, whist drives, visits to private gardens open to the public through the National Gardens Scheme, boules, ten pin bowling, restaurants, pub evenings etc. In addition the club arranges holiday weekends and day trips.
