Description
The Maths GCSE Saturday School is aimed at those pupils in year 11 covering the new grades 9 to 1 Maths GCSE Higher syllabus. All the main topics of this syllabus will be covered during the academic year. These will include the following topics: Circle theorems, Surds, Bounds, Direct and indirect proportion, Quadratic equations, Algebraic fractions, Rearranging formulae, Inverse and composite functions, Iteration, Cosine rule, Sine rule, Area of a triangle using trigonometry, Vectors, Histograms, Simultaneous equations with both linear and quadratic equations, Algebraic proof, Nth term of a quadratic sequence, Quadratic inequalities, Velocity time graphs, Equation of a perpendicular line, Equation of a tangent. The Maths Saturday School will consist of a two hour lesson in which the topics will be explained and then the pupils will concentrate on answering exam style questions so that they become familiar with the style of the exam questions.
