- We are a small, friendly and new chess club (established 2025) aimed at promoting social and competitive chess within the local community. We warmly welcome anyone keen to learn, play, compete and enjoy the game while making new connections, regardless of experience level. Competition is encouraged through an annual intra-club championship. The club fields three teams in the Kent League whilst Psyon Chess (one of the largest Tournament Organisers in England) runs internationally rated events across Cambridge, Oxford, Greater London, Kent, East Kent and Hampshire. Our Junior clubs (in and around Bromley and Beckenham) support beginners and improving players with an English Chess Federation (ECF) Standard rating up to 1200. We provide a structured curriculum for junior group coaching that blends formal learning with fun games, puzzles, internal competitions, and junior-only local tournaments.
