Concept art for the New Central Library Museum and Archive store.

Bromley Council is holding two engagement sessions about plans for new Central Library Museum and Archive store. The sessions will be held on Wednesday 18 June and Saturday 21 June 2025.

Bromley Council has released plans relating to a new Archive and Museum store which will support the borough’s historic collections.

Currently the borough’s museum and art collection are stored in Orpington and the Archive in Bromley Central Library. As part of the exciting plans to relocate Bromley Central Library to the High Street, these collections will all be brought together at the Orpington site in a new purpose-built store which will safeguard and preserve Bromley’s heritage.

Members of the project team will be on hand to talk through the plans and answer questions about the specialist new facilities. These sessions will take place on:

  • Wednesday 18 June 2025 at 12pm to 2pm.
  • Saturday 21 June 2025 at 10am to 12pm.

Alternatively, you can view and comment on proposals online.
