Bromley Council is consulting on its draft pharmaceutical needs assessment, between 26 June to the 26 August 2025.

Every Health and Wellbeing Board has a statutory responsibility to update their Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA) every 3 years and Bromley must do so by the 1 October 2025.

The Bromley Health and Wellbeing Board has assessed the needs of pharmaceutical services for the local population in 2025 and in the next three years.

The PNA is used to help NHS England decide on applications for new pharmacies, and applications for changes at existing pharmacies.

The draft report has been produced by looking at the health needs of the population, the current pharmacy network and its services, and a survey of public views on current services. It has drawn on research material and has been advised by a stakeholder group that looked at different aspects of pharmacy services.

The regulations require the Health and Wellbeing Board to share their draft PNA for stakeholder consultation for a minimum 60 day period. We invite you to take this opportunity to review the PNA document and give us your views on its research and the conclusions and recommendations drawn from it. A report on the consultation will be included in the final version.
