London Borough of Bromley is using an Artificial Intelligence (AI) tool called Magic Notes by Beam.
Please read this document alongside the Adult Social Care Privacy Notice and the Corporate Privacy Notice.
Magic Notes will be used by Adult Social Care to record conversations with residents, carers, provider staff and others involved in the delivery of services to residents. It will be accessed via their work provided mobile phone.
Conversations will be recorded, transcribed, summarised, and a list of actions created by a web app called Magic Notes that has been created by Beam.
This aims to;
- reduce manual typing up of conversation notes
- improve interaction during the meeting
- improve the recording of notes
- deliver better reviews and creation of care plans in a timely way
It should also improve data quality and security by removing paper transportation between individuals’ homes and the office.
It will involve the processing of personal information, health information and care needs. This will depend on what participants of the meeting say.
Once the worker has checked the outputs, they will be stored on the existing case management system (LiquidLogic). The recording is deleted by Beam after 60 days. All the information processed by the tool is processed in the UK.
Participants will be asked for their consent before recordings start.
We have very strict data protection policies in place and have approved the use of this tool as it meets the needed criteria. Your data is not used to train any AI models. All information remains private and confidential.
