Bromley Council is committed to tackling homelessness and rough sleeping across our borough, with the latest Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy outlining our approach.

The strategy seeks to prevent and addressing homelessness, aiming to ensure that residents in Bromley can access the support they need. Through partnership working, we strive to both improve access to suitable and affordable housing and reduce rough sleeping, which is comparatively low in our borough compared with elsewhere.

Our key priorities are:

  1. Early intervention and prevention of homelessness
  2. The right support at the right time for adults, young people, and children
  3. Providing suitable and affordable housing for eligible households
  4. Reducing rough sleeping and ending repeat homelessness
  5. Reducing the number of households in temporary accommodation
