BEKO 6kg & 7kg CONDENSER TUMBLE DRYERS
Beko are aware of a number of cases of 6kg & 7kg Condenser Tumble Dryers where an electrical component failed and overheated, leading to a potential risk of fire.
Product safety notices issued in November last year have helped us to locate and successfully modify 70% of the affected products, but we remain committed to finding and modifying every single one.
If you own a Beko 6kg or 7kg Condenser Tumble Dryer manufactured between May and October 2012, we urge you to take the simple steps outlined below as a precautionary measure.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO
Check the model number and serial number of your 6kg or 7kg Condenser Tumble Dryer with the appliance checker on our website at: dryersafety.beko.co.uk
The serial number is on the rating plate (see below) and is 10 digits long. The first two digits of the serial number give the year of production and the last two digits give the month of production. All affected products were manufactured between May and October 2012, Please use the appliance checker if your model and serial number matches those outlined below.
Your safety is our priority, check your model and serial number using our appliance checker on our website: dryersafety.beko.co.uk. If you own an affected product, please stop using it immediately and disconnect it from the wall socket as a precaution. If your product is affected, please call our free phone number 0800 917 2018 or 1800 25 29 25 in Eire between 8.00am to 8.00pm Monday to Friday and 10.00am to 4.00pm Saturday and Sunday. We will arrange to visit your home and make a free of charge modification.
