Sabelt, a leading company in the child safety industry has noted that one of its specific models of buckle used in child restraint systems may have a manufacturing defect, which could lead to a safety issue due to a reduced retention effectiveness if there was to be a case of an accident.
Various manufacturers have used this buckle on their child restraint systems, which have been sold alone (for example, car seats) or as part of travel systems (for example, strollers with car seat).
Although there has been no report of an accident from the market and in spite of the very low defect rate, as a precautionary measure and in line with Chicco’s mission to always guarantee child safety, we invite the users of Chicco Auto-Fix and of Chicco Synthesis car seats fitted with the above buckle to visit with immediate effect, either of the following websites:

Note: Only the products equipped with the above represented buckle are involved. All other models of buckles and all other models of Chicco child restraint systems are not involved.
