Hazard
The product presents a risk of electric shock due to inadequate cord anchorage. The supply cord is not sufficiently secured and failed mechanical testing, meaning it may become loose during use. This could place strain on internal connections, potentially leading to exposure of live parts or the product becoming live. If a user touches these live parts, they could receive an electric shock.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border.
