Hazard
The product presents a risk of injuries as small metal fragments may detach during use and contaminate the food. If ingested, these fragments could cause injury.
The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.
Corrective action
Products with an affected date stamp have been recalled by Ikea. The recall commenced in June 2025.
Consumers who own one an affected garlic press should immediately stop using it and return it to any IKEA store for a full refund. Proof of purchase (receipt) is not required.
