The product presents a high risk of fire because the plug does not conform to the dimensional requirements of BS 1363. The live and neutral pins, and the Insulated Shutter Operating Device, do not meet the minimum height requirements. This means the product may not make a secure connection with the socket, presenting a risk of overheating and fire. Improvements are also required to the products markings, warnings and instructions. A valid Declaration of Conformity was not supplied with the machinery.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008 or the Plugs and Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border.
