Product description
An electric powered scooter / moped.
Hazard
The product presents a risk of fire because the battery is defective. Under fault conditions, this could cause the product to overheat and enter thermal runaway, causing a fire.
The affected products do not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008.
Corrective action
The product has been recalled from end users.
Owners should stop using this product immediately and ensure it is unplugged from power sources. The manufacturer UNU GmbH has entered insolvency.
Owners should ensure that affected products are disposed of safely via their local household waste disposal site, first checking with their local centre to confirm if the type of battery is accepted.
